How is everyone? I miss LJ. :( EXAMS SUCK. OR I SUCK AT EXAMS. OR BOTH. :(

This post is mainly TV + movies that saved my sanity the past couple of weeks. YAY! I had an epiphany, a few days ago, and in anticipation for the new TV season I turned to British comedy. And that was, like, the best decision ever, because I started watching BLACK BOOKS. ( Read more... )

tv: don't stop believing, tv: spaced, tv: black books, tv: my constant, movie:atonement, movies

I totally lucked out with the festival, because it probably won't get an actual theatrical release here. To be honest, I'm totally hoping that JKras will decide to have a brief holiday in Greece and incidentally drop by the screening. :D If I ever met him I'd go crazy.

GLEE is totally made of awesome! IDK about the pacing, I hope the writers know what they're doing too :) We'll see, I guess.

I really want to see Up, everyone's writing awesome reviews for it, I need to find the time.

It's not that I would want them to drag out the storylines, because that can be tiresome as well... But they've had half a season's worth of crisis so far, so it makes you wonder what they'll come up with next!

You definitely must see Up in the theater! It's a wonderful movie, and there's a whole theme of people growing older and looking back at their lives and what they accomplished, that is just so moving and real. I absolutely loved it.

I tried out the first ep, but I cant get into Glee. I'm more of a Vampire Diaries/The Beautiful Life type! I found the characters on that show incredibly annoying. Honestly though, Angels & Demons? Yes. I cried tears of fear for the cardinal in the fountain. I cant handle that kind of stuff when it comes to elders. v__v

Haha well some characters are annoying, but I find the show as a whole very endearing. I want to watch The Beautiful Life, has it aired yet? The premise sounded fun and there's so much drama in that industry. :D

Oh God, that scene in the fountain had my heart beating so fast! So much suspense, and so much relief when he was saved. I loved the way it was shot, with the people on by one diving in to get him out. I was really impressed with the direction overall, I wasn't really expecting it!

Yes, The Beautiful Life was on Wednesday night @ 9pm. It got off to a slow start, but then Mischa came out and I was like WOOOO! I like her. She's great and I missed seeing her on tv.

I knew it was coming having read the book, and after it was over my aunt looked over at me all like, "Are you alright? Are you sure?" haha. How embarrassing. I dont like crying in the first place but at something so seemingly simple? I wasnt expecting it to be so... so... frightening. Things truly are different when you see them played out in front of your eyes rather than printed out on the page. ;_;

I like Mischa too! I don't get the hate for her, she's very sweet. :) And she's been looking great lately!

I know, it was so frightening and suspenseful, OMG. At some point it was overwhelming, and then the tears come. Well Brown usually writes with a cinematic viewpoint anyway, so I'm glad the transition to the big screen was succesful! BTW have you read his new one, the one that just came out?

LOL I feel you. I'm still holding out to see where it goes, but it will be really sad to see all that potential fizzle out. I'm trying to hope that it's just bumps at the beginning of its run, and soon it will even out.

I know right, Boone is dreamy! WHOA HOLD THE PHONE WHAT??? Is it rumor? Or was he seen in Hawaii? OMGGGG THIS IS TOO MUCH! I have the feeling that for the final season they're really gonna pull out all the stops, and it's going to be awesome!

oh wow, lots of movies!
I REALLY WANT TO WATCH 'AN EDUCATION,' but I'll have to wait. It looks like it's got potential, and it's my type of a movie.

'A Single Man' looks great also. EEEE.

It definitely has potential, it has Carey Mulligan who people are saying will be Oscar nominated for this, and of course it has PETER SARSGAARD, aka GQMF. :D Just like A Single Man, it's set in that era where everything is kind of... awesome.

GLEE I KNOOOOWWW! I'm so glad its greatness continues and our fangirling is justified. :DD
