back up your emails folks!

Wish I had. I found out there was a new version of Pegasus, which I've happily used for years. In a hurry, didn't think to back up my mail folders (which held data from... you guessed it, many years.) Downloaded the new version, told it was an upgrade and... All of my old data has disappeared. Oh no. I can't believe you're so Zen about it!

Perhaps "numb" is a better word? Luckily I don't think I lost anything critical...
Oh sh*t. I just remembered there was some family history in there. Will have to ask around if my dad or other family still have those emails. *sigh*

Have you tried reverting? Maybe it's not recognizing the files but they still exist (I hope.)

(But much *hugs* that sucks)

I tried to revert, but the "update" seems to have zorched the older installation as well. Talk about a pillage and burn update! I certainly won't be using that software again.
Outlook isn't pretty, but I'll learn how to use it, I guess.
Thanks for the hugs.
I don't think there was anything critical that I hadn't saved to a text file elsewhere over the years, but I have lost my contacts. I'm resigned to it now and hopefully have learned my lesson :/
