I'm in the US and it's showing me that there is a Kindle edition. How odd.

I suspect buyers from certain countries are blocked from some publishers' Kindle editions. Never mind that I can't get the darn thing here from Commonwealth-approved sources... *grumps*

Ha! Apparently I can just reset my account location to the US and legally buy the books we Aussies can't see. So glad to find a legitimate way around this problem.

Also: Does Amazon have an AU/NZ site, or are you expected to order through a different country's site? If you're not able to get it through Amazon.com (the US site), what about Amazon.uk? Maybe it's a matter of which publisher has which English-language rights.

Though...argh. It does not appear to be available as a Kindle edition at Amazon.uk. However, that may well be because I'm on an American computer! Give it a shot, Ozzie girl.

It appears to be IP-linked. I suppose I could try to set up an account and tell it I'm in America, but I don't know if that would work at all.
Grr.
Wonder if it has to do with Commonwealth publishing rights and all of that wonderful monopoly stuff?

the wonderful folks in the Sword and Laser Goodreads community told me how to fix it. Apparently I can just reset my account location to the US and legally buy the books we Aussies can't see. So glad to find a legitimate way around this problem. Just hope they don't send me any mail via the State Library of New York per my "address" details *g*
