Don't you know? We Americans subsidize healthcare R&D for the rest of the world, as well as having the best possible care options even if we are poor because we can just go to the emergency room. So we deserve to pay huge amounts for it!

Yes. Apparently e-stuff is all free and should be free. Just like HBO, DVDs, and software.

Which reminds me of an acquaintance earnestly insisting to me that he was never going to have the money to pay for a legitimate copy of Photoshop because their apps were priced too high for him to afford, and that since Adobe was never going to get money from him he was justified in pirating it.
