At first when he started talking about this part of the chat I thought it would be one of the "Would you kill one person to save 5" kind of scenarios. I have no interest in saving/preserving the human race, so I'm looking at just helping the group survive and making sure at least *I* get laid :)

I need to know what we have in the shelter already... in this scenario I would have quite a bit of information about that.

My choices would lean heavily towards females because 5 women plus 1 man = 5 babies and 5 men plus 1 woman = 1 baby. Amusingly, this list appears to either omit gender data on many people or assume male unless otherwise noted. I'd also select for genetic survivability (dwarfism is co-morbid with a lot of other genetic issues).

An interesting point, though... to be truly ethical I ought to give up MY spot to someone without epilepsy.
