randomness

So last friday the Ponies played their last show. I ended up getting pushed into this window and breaking it with my elbow. Amazingly, it didn't hurt a bit and I looked kind of tough. "Yeah, I broke it with my elbow, no biggie". I ended up getting pretty drunk. I still owe Duthie a 12 pack. The Ponies played a great set in the Casebeer's basement. ( Read more... )

hey anne. Thanks! I was talking about Andrew actually. JT is in syracuse or some part of upstate NY working with his cousin or uncle?. He is trying to become a tattoo artist and working in his cousin or uncle's tattoo parlor. What a waste of talent. yeah, nostalgia can be hard. Its weird when it pops up. Hows nursing school?

as crazy as it sounds, Im going to live with Morgan's mom. She has a huge house in scottsdale and she isn't home much. Plus, its rent free because she is a saint. Also we get along really well and I've been on like, three family vacations with them. So I don't think it will be too bad short term. Better than living with my own family, I tell ya.
I am going to apply to UCLA, UTAustin, Simmons (in Boston), and Rutgers (NJ).

you know, when i wore earrings, the only thing i could wear was 14K gold (and up) or my ears would get infected. no silver or surgical steel. that could be your problem...maybe try white gold if you have an aversion to the yellow stuff?

are you still thinking about getting your MLIS?

and is andrew still in phx?

Yeah, the second time I had them pierced I tried the gold and took such good care of them...to no avail. It might be stupid for me to try again but I may. Do you think I should do the mall thing or the expensive tattoo/piercing parlor thing?

I am definetly going to get my MLIS. I thought about just going to grad school here for speech communication because I could have gotten an apprenticship (sp?) and would have for sure gotten in. But then I thought, no...I really want to be a librarian. So Im going to do it. How did your first year turn out? You are so lucky only one more year left! Do you feel like you are learning a lot of relevant stuff? Is it boring?

Andrew is still in Phoenix. He is going to school slowly and reading some amazing stuff. I swear, him and Rick sometimes have the same brain when it comes to literature. I wonder if I will ever see him when I am there.

my first year was ok. i mean, library school isn't exactly glamorous, but some of the courses were interesting. and some of them were pretty tedious. what can you do? anyway, i think you will find some of the coursework more relevant than i did since you've never worked in a library before (as far as i know anyway).

what schools are you applying to?

yes, both of them for youuuu. he is reading Pinget, Roussel, Queneau, Calliois, Bataille, Leiris, Desnos, Hegel, Heidegger, Derrida, Klossowski, Blanchot, Laure...This list made me think of you. He said he is doing well.

Flagstaff is not one for carrying the golden beet, so alas, I could not make your soup. I just made a veggie/potato soup.
