Happy Schmappy

We are on our way to Myrtle Beach, but I wanted to take a second to tell everyone Happy Thanksgiving and to please eat more than me so that I feel good about my self control. :-)

GOBBLE GOBBLE!

I've always wanted to go to Myrtle Beach...ever since seeing the moving "Shag" (still one of my favorite movies to this day) when I was about 12. Have a great Thanksgiving! XOXO

I just thought of something after posting that...perhaps I will FINALLY get to go to Myrtle Beach when we're on our honeymoon next fall! Rock on! We're going to Asheville, NC for our honeymoon, and Myrtle Beach is only about 6 hours away...perhaps a day trip! Fun! And hey, if you're in the area... ;)

Awwww! Asheville is where Shane and I got engaged! He lived there when he was younger and the camping is amazing up there! Are you guys going to the Biltmore or what?

Yeah, we want to see the Biltmore. Asheville was acually named the 2005 most friendly vegan city, that's what made us choose that particular city. We knew we were going to be in the smokies, we just didn't know where.

Here's what we want to check out so far:

Tree Huggin Treats: http://www.treehuggintreats.com

Rosetta's: 111 Broadway 828-232-0738 (Vegan Food, Open Til 3AM)

Highland Brewing: http://www.highlandbrewing.com (Vegan Beer)

The Laughing Seed: http://www.laughingseed.com (Vegan Food)

Animal Haven: http://www.animalhaven.org

The Hop: 507 Merrimon Avenue 828-252-8362 (Vegan Ice Cream)

And hopefully we'll get to go to Myrtle Beach. :) That's so fun that you and Shane got engaged in Asheville...it seems like a really nice city. I can't wait!

I just got this reply in my email. I hope they get their kinks worked out!

I have a friend who lives there who "lives off the land" he grows all of his own food and what have you. I guess Asheville is good for that.

What is animal haven?

PS. Myrtle Beach is far! I think it is awful touristy to drive that far on your honeymoon for. :-)
