Guess it's time for me to fly.....from my job

In all this time since a real update, nothing has eally been going on. I've been enjoying the summer. Been hiking a bunch. Dave got a GPS so now we can go geocaching. We've been swimming (our apartment complex has a pool) and that's been nice because, for whatever reason, it's NEVER crowded. Kinda scares me for that reason. I've spent some ( Read more... )

Dave told me about this a few weeks back. It sounds awesome. Don't worry about when you're gonna have kids and when you're gonna get a house. God will make them both happen when the time is right. Just focus on the schooling and enjoy the education.

yeah, actually I was just talking about this with a friend at work. I used to compare myself to others a lot more than I do now. Like where I should be in life because that's where the majority of women my age are at. I'm still bad at it, but getting better. I'm accepting the path that I believe God has for me and I must be content with that. This is because I know that He knows what's best for me in every situation and everything that should happen for me will. If there are things that I never accomplish in life that I feel I wanted to, I'll know that it was something that wasn't supposed to be, maybe something that would've hurt me or taken me down the wrong path.

yes we are all at where we're supposed to be. Soceity puts so much stress on people as to what they are supposed to be or where they should be, it's tough to break out of that way of thinking. I often compare myself to my brothers who all seem to have their lives together and here I am unemployed, no degree yet, unable to meet the demands i put on myself. It's a bad place to get caught up in. We're all special in our own ways and are all where we're supposed to be at this moment. It's just easy to disconnect from that.

Congratulations! And I agree with the others; you are right where God wants you to be, for now.

Although I'd be really concerned about Dave living on beans........

Haha, that wasn't exactly what I was implying. Just a failed attempt to be warped and demented.

Purdue University has a Vet Tech program and the whole thing is online...you wouldn't even have to cross that little grassy area!

Good luck with your program! you will be excellent at being a vet tech!

Yeah, I know. I looked into it months ago (heck, I looked into it before that a few years ago). The problem with vet tech programs in general is that they are very hands on. Doing it online would put a lot of responsibility on my shoulders to gain access to the hands on training I would need. I'd have to be closely affiliated with a vet and they would have to be willing to let me do work for them as it is videotaped. This would be my homework. I would also have to make sure that they have all the necessary equipment, and part of my classwork would be to work with large animals (horse and cows). I would have to find a clinic that works on large animals for that (which is difficult in the city). Since I would have to be working at a vet clinic, I couldn't focus all my time on completing my coursework and they said it usually takes the average student anywhere from 5 to 10 years to complete the online course. It just ended up being too much hassle. There are lots of things I could do myself with online classes, but with this, I ( ... )
