Based off this article.

"So, yeah." Manuel stared at the heavy, leather bound book in his hands instead of Miguel as he spoke. "This is just supposed to be symbolic. We're shipping the rest to you."

Miguel knew it was the closest thing to an apology he would get out of Manuel-at least to his face. Maybe if he pretended to fall asleep on him later, Manuel would whisper something a little more contrite in his ear. For now, he took the book and flipped it open to a random page near the middle.

"Oh, wow, I thought I'd never get this back," he said, closing the book with a snap that made Manuel cringe.

"I shouldn't have bothered if you're just going to treat them like shit," Manuel growled.

"You're in no position to tell me how to treat something you stole from me," Miguel retorted before he could stop himself ( ... )
