Figuring out the source of your frustration is SUCH a big step. Now that you understand what is going on, you can take steps to avoid it, or alter it, or (as seems to be the most likely strategy to succeed) to move to another situation that's more stimulating for you. The idea of moving to SC is really exciting - although it would suck to not have you here in norcal anymore!
