Mel -- How much does it cost? How quickly do you expect to recoup the cost of the course once you start working?

It cost me about $1800. They do offer financing and financial aid, but I just put it on a credit card, since I had a nice promotional rate with them ( ... )

I'm interested, because I'd love to be able to earn some money without having to put Mikey in daycare. It's a huge initial outlay though, and we just don't have it. :(

I'll talk to John though... I don't think there are many work at home opportunities that don't require some kind of training.

Thanks for the info! How are you enjoying the learning so far?

It's a little difficult for me because I was never very good at memorizing things. In high school, I loved history, but never got good grades because I had to memorize so many facts. The part that I'm on now in the training is memorizing medical root words and it's just hard for me. But I breezed through other parts. And I hope that once I get through this part, it will be easy again.

I also find it hard to balance the online work with my online "fun time" and then the upkeep of the house, caring for Lauren, homework with the kids, cooking and cleaning, time with Mike, and some sort of downtime for myself. It's hard to fit in CareerStep! But I just try to make it a priority and let the other stuff go....
