Beauty & the Beggar

She briskly made her way down Flatbush Avenue; self-dosing herself with a cigar

Smothered in red -

Red lipstick. Red shoes. Red dress.

Her golden hair sparkled in the sunlight mirroring the suns rays

a black figure tailed her

Revelation came and she increased her walk to a pace

colours could speak a thousand words "

I specifically loved that part there, because for me the red speaks loudly of the character too, nice theme for your poem, drawing inspiration from our lecture i'd assume. Well done.
