Pete's Theory
Pete thinks it's Clarence Weidman. Mostly, I think, because Clarence is made out to be such a bad guy. Pete's thoughts may go more in depth about it, I don't know. But that's what he told me last night. That his money was on Weidman.
My Theory
And my theory is influenced by all the other theories I've read. I'm torn. Most of me believes it was Celeste Kane. That she killed Lilly during an argument (possibly about Veronica's parentage). I don't think Jake knows it was her, I think he believes it was Duncan (who I also have a theory on), and that he suggested that they call Weidman to cover it up, which Celeste went along with.
My Duncan theory is two-fold. I think: 1) he fought with Lilly (most likely about Veronica), and then blacked out, she was killed, and when he woke up, he was the only one there and Lilly was dead, so he thought he killed her, which his parents are now covering up, or 2) Duncan found her, already dead, blacked out, and when his parents came home, they found him unconscious, Lilly dead, and assumed that he had an episode and accidentally killed her. I know he didn't actually kill her, mostly because of his certainty last week that he didn't. He may have some idea who did, though.
I also have some Echoll's based theories. First, Aaron. We know he's volatile. We know he defends his family to the extreme. Perhaps he found out Lilly was cheating on Logan, and went over to confront her. Or, maybe Lilly was also sleeping with Aaron (you know she would), and was going to tell, so he killed her in a fit of rage.
My Logan theory is a little more complex. I think it's very possible that Logan caught her with Weevil. He got upset, they fought. He may have killed her, but I seriously doubt it. It could also go vice versa, with Weevil finding her with Logan. Anyway, I think it happened, and there was a fight, but I also think that was before she was killed. I don't think either of them did it. If Logan caught and fought with her, though, I think it's possible that he went home, told another of the Echoll's about it, and they killed her. Could be Aaron or Lynn. Or possibly Trina - she's been trying to keep out of Neptune for quite a while now.
That also brought up thoughts of the video camera. Maybe Lilly found out about it. Maybe she was going to say something, or use the videos to blackmail someone. I don't know if it's Logan's or Aaron's, though. I'm hoping it's Aaron's. I'm also hoping that Veronica was smart enough to look for tapes and take them with her, instead of just getting upset and taking off. I also hope that she talked to Logan about it, while she was waiting for Weevil to pick her up. Because I really hate the way she just takes off when something upsets her.
Anyway, enough theorizing. I'll have answers in less than 12 hours. Now, I should work.
