Irving is in my top 5 authors. I always enjoyed his style. He gives you tons of details that seem pointless but end up being a huge part of the story in the end. I love his twists at the end too... but not in a confusing way (like an m night shyamalan movie).
One that I could not get into was the 158-pound marriage. his newest one, until i find you starts slow but ends up being pretty decent. His favorite of mine however will always be the world according the garp.
happy reading!

The World According to Garp is incredible...I should read it again! I also liked A Widow for One Year. But I prefer the movie version of A Prayer for Owen Meany...it's sappy, but uber sweet.
