Whee! I finally applied for my passport on Monday. It should be delivered in 6 to 8 weeks. That should be plenty of time by August.... I've been looking at Travel packages, and I'm about ready to go anywhere. So, Erin, gimmie a call soon. I'm getting excited!

I'm not sure. I'd really like to go to Japan more than anything, but my friend says it's really hard to navagate there without speaking the language. Everything is written in Kanji, and also, they don't # their addresses like we do here in the states. The buildings are numbered in the order of when they were built. So you might have building #415, and #416 is totally across town. Wierd eh? So anyplace you go, you need a little buisness card that has a map and directions to it. It's kinda expensive too, but so is Europe, or at least getting there. Maybe it would be better to go somewhere like Mexico where we would get more bang for our buck...where have you been? Do you have any suggestions?

I actually haven't been outside the country - never had the money to go anywhere. I'm about to go to Mexico which I'm excited about. If I could go anywhere I think it would be fun to trek around Europe, esp. Spain. Or go to Egypt, that would be sweet.
Keep an eye on flights to Europe, I had some friends get really cheap flights when they were on sale, and they said it's inexpensive to stay over there.

What part of Mexico are you visiting? and what are the main attractions you wanna see? Thanks for the tips, I will look at some more airlines for cheaper flights. My boss even said he'd seen round trip flights to japan for $600! That's unheard of!

Hmmm....I'm up for anything. Thailand looked cool. I hear the flights there aren't too bad since the tsunami. I really need to get saving though if I'm going to be able to go. I'm not sure how long I'm going to stay in this job. It's really rewarding and I've been told I'm good at it but it's really REALLY hard and I've been missing Matt and my life in Atlanta like crazy. We should talk over the phone. I'm sorry I haven't been more proactive but I haven't been in town but for a few days a week. I spend the first day detoxing from my shift, the second running errands and the third packing for my next shift. Three days off sounded like a lot but it's not. I think to be able to work this job you really have to have your life rotate around it. Matt and I already have a life in Atl together, so it's pretty hard for me to do that. Bla. Anyway, call me.

Awesome! Maybe we could meet up with them there. I think you and I would really get a lot from Thailand. I need to start saving. I'll try to get on the internet and do a little research. We should be able to get nice hotel deals and what not for pretty cheap. It's the airfare I'm worried about.

I hear ya. I think we can get round trip tickets for around a grand, although, I havn't shopped around for a better deal yet. I dunno if my friends will still be there by then... and hey, are we looking for specific dates or just sometime in august?
