So, as I said on facebook, Ally is crawling now, officially. She started this a few days ago, very tentatively. She would take a few "steps," then fall on her tummy. So Ally is still doing really well on supplementing her diet. She eats crazy amounts lately...think part of that is her "leveling up" on how much she eats anyway (finally using our bigger size bottles now, yeehaw). So Ally is pretty much the best baby ever. We had been co-sleeping with her since we brought her home because she wasn't a big fan of sleeping laying flat and because Paul liked it, but it was beginning to get to me, and also it is harder to cut out nighttime feedings if she is near me, because she can smell the milk every time she wakes up and ( Read more... )

I never wanted to be a stay at home mom. It was certainly not something I thought I would ever do. I considered myself an "academic," I thought that I would graduate college with some lofty degree and pursue a career. So I remembered something I was going to say in my last entry. Weight loss! Before pregnancy I wore size 14 jeans, occasionally 16. Black Friday I went shopping and got myself 2 pairs of size 12 jeans. Less than 4 weeks after giving birth and not only am I back to my pre-pregnancy jeans, they are too big!
