Well, we do casual Fridays like the rest of the week we have to wear professional clothes, trousers and blouses but on Fridays we can get away with wearing nice jeans and nice (non-logo) shirts. Just company policy. It was like that in DC at the Lobby Firm I interned at.
Just life is very...even at the moment. Not really going up or down. Very very soon I hope it will change. As for you, my dear? Job opportunities?

Same here, really. Okay, just a tiny little bit tipped on the down side of the scale, but that's just because I'm such an angsty sucker, lol.
As for you, my dear? Job opportunities?
Not really, no. But I'm done with applying for jobs and doing interviews for the summer, because my parents had to fire their employee (they did it this morning, in fact) so I'll have to give them a hand until they find the right person to replace him by, which might take a few months.
I don't know how I feel about that, I mean, I'm sort of relieved because the latest 6 months of job-hunting have been extremely frustrating, to say the least, and yet it kinda bothers me having to postpone my first real working experience, if it makes any sense.
Mostly, though, I'm confused about almost everything and, to quote (I think I only remember part of it by heart, but still) a brilliant closing 'speech' from "Grey's Anatomy", ..desire leaves us heartbroken. It wears us out. Desire can wreck your

I totally understand. Being just out of college and not getting a chance to put that degree to work can be extremely frustrating. I get totally confused on what I want to do to and am trying to put my resume out there for jobs that are in the realm of what I want to do with my life. I think that it's just going to take a while.
Grey's: Omigod! Christina is FREE! And I'm hearing that the asshole who plays Burke is GONE for good.
I've now heard from various reliable sources that Isaiah has been taking meetings in New York and Los Angeles in search of a new job that would take place during the coming TV season, so it certainly appears that Isaiah's Grey's days are over. Insiders at ABC tell me "not everyone will be coming back" to Grey's this fall, and although T.R. Knight's fate was also left hanging in the balance after the season finale, I'm hearing that he's gonna be back but like I said, Isaiah looks to be a goner. Source: Kristin on E!Online
It's my first night in Korea and believe it or not, I'm bored too. Right now I'm at my cousin Sho-Ping's house, and it's a bit awkward because first of all, I don't really even KNOW this cousin. Like, out of all the 30 or so cousins I have in Korea, I have to stay with the one who is, for all intents and purposes, a stranger. Only, she's NOT a stranger because she keeps asking me about all these things that happened the last time we hung out. When I was 6.
I'm sure if my Chinese was better, I'd be able to establish a better rapport with her, but then again I speak English just fine and you don't see me chatting up everyone at home...
Anyway, tomorrow will be better, because I'm going to my aunt's restaurant and she always has the BEST stuff... plus I'll get to play with her pug Lai-Foo (I think it means lucky) and my other cousin just had a daughter, and I swear you never saw a more adorable little girl.
For a second, I didn't know who the comment was from. You should get your own LJ so you don't have to comment anonymously AND I can add you to me friends-list.
How can you be bored? It must be awkward though, and I totally understand, to be staying with someone who you don't really know. Heee, when you were six. You're funny when you write.
Do alot of your relatives speak English? Have fun!
I remembered I do have an LJ account, but it's from a couple of years ago and having just read some of my old posts, I'm not sure if I want it outed... it's from back when I was even more angst-y and emo than I am now, and it's a part of my life that I'm glad is behind me. In fact the only thing I liked about it was my userpic. Run, Megaman, run!
I'm having a great time now, since I'm hanging out with my dad and we're going to a place in Seoul called Insa-dong, an artists' enclave that is extremely popular with locals and tourists alike. I also visited my aunt and found out that Lai-foo, her pug, had been sick for a long time, but when I beckoned, he recognized me immediately. I love her dog... he's so smart, he's like a little person. Facial expressions and everything.
You know what I miss? The Daily Show/Colbert Report block on Comedy Central. God, I watch too much telly. Oh SWEET! I'm watching a Korean baseball game right now and the pitcher just caught a line drive with his bare hand. okay, gotta go. = )
First of all, I friended you so you do the same. Trust me when I tell you, my LJ was started almost (by like a week) three years ago and in that time, I have been completely emo and weird. Let me know if you want to read my old entries about England. They may be friendslocked but you should be able to if you want.
I was actually watching The Colbert Report earlier. Stephen Colbert's got a new book out I'm wanting.

*pets and lets you know she would have given either the same answer or something along the line of ask me later, lol*
14. What are you wearing? Jeans and t-shirt because it's Friday and we get to wear jeans at work on Fridays.
Just because I'm a curious bitch, why on Fridays?
