Dear Yulegoat,

Thank you so very much for writing a story for me. It's the greatest gift I can imagine, and you are providing me with the holiday experience that means the most to me these days just by offering your time and creativity.

I am easy to please, so take these prompts and run with them, my dear goat! If none of my ideas sparks your muse into action, feel free to write something for the fandom that *does.* Part of the fun of an exchange is to see how someone else responds to the worlds and characters I love.

Almost Human - This show got killed too soon! Take us further into the future, especially in Dorian's POV. Let Dorian catalog (and try to make sense of) John's love life over a period of years, or leap forward to his retirement party and write Dorian's speech just before the first toast. Bonus points if Dorian isn't headed for the scrap heap; musings on Asimov's three laws of robotics, AI rights, or the nature of consciousness, especially if paired with a sappy "happily ever grumpy" on a retirement colony with John is involved. I'm not really a John/Dorian shipper, but if that's what inspires you, go for it.

Grimm - I would be very happy to receive casefic featuring Rosalee and the Melifer (bee wesen). Barring that, how about sending Rosalee to collect medicinal plants/materials? Story-wise that could look like an unexpected run-in with some aggressive wesen in the woods, an accidental-substance-induced mystical encounter with Aunt Marie (gotta love a badass librarian!) or a character study told in a series of flashbacks instigated by the scent of the plants she harvests. Whichever tack you take, please give me Rosalee with some iron in her spine, alongside her nurturing nature. I adore her relationship with Monroe, too, so romance/sexytimes are happy-making.

Forever - We've seen quite a bit of WWII-era flashback featuring Henry, Abigail, and Abe. Show me a different moment in time - how did the Morgans pass the "idyllic" 1950s, the turbulent 60s? How many times did they have to move, and what surprising places did they call home? When did Abe learn Henry's secret, and how?

Happiest of Yuletides, dear writer! May your snack pile always be full, your wordcount high, and your inspiration bright.

<3 Mel
