Until I got married, I didn't truly appreciate what it meant to share your life with someone. Sharing my life with someone as awesome as Naomi has its perks, but it also means that if things are going badly for one of us, things are going badly for both of us. Marriage really does change you. And you are right--until you are in such a relationship, it is hard to comprehend what it is like to share your life so intimately for so long. (My spouse and I are closing in on 14 years of marriage--I met him 16 years ago at Dragoncon.) It can be difficult but is very rewarding. We can't have kids (nor want to), so it just the two of us.

So cute and so spontaneous that ya'll drove out to see the stars!

Not really sure what to say, but I'm glad you had such a nice time! Night skies in the country are my absolute favorite thing in the world, it's great you got to enjoy one. I hope you have many more such small moments :]

I'm a terrible blogger and just now saw your comment on my post from last March. Congrats on the wedding! I went on a spur of the moment star-gazing trip a few weekends ago and it was also amazing!
