I was watchin' The Closer, heard that accent, and cringed. Nobody from the South really sounds like that. I hate the way movies and TV shows always go for the stereotypical southern accent. These are supposed to be actors, folks. I know it's just TV, but can't they take their roles seriously enough to at least go hang out for awhile in the pla-

Every time I saw someone who was supposed to be from Charlotte NC on a TV show they always looked like a hick. With a mullet and a deep accent. When the truth is, Charlotte is a pretty culturally diverse city and the accent really isn't strong there at all. It always makes me cringe too. No wonder people give me a weird look when I tell them I'm from Charlotte.
