Orihara Izaya wasn't one to care much for the finer tastes of life, but he was curious and curiosity had gotten the best of him.
However, on this particular night, the informant decided to do something absolutely spontaneous, something he'd never think of doing if he were sane (whenever that was).
He decided to eat at Russia Sushi.
"Good evening, Simon-san~" he greeted as he pushed the door open to the small sushi establishment.
Simon, who was wiping a glass with an old rag, immediately turned around at the call of his name.
"Oh, Izaya! Welcome! Welcome!" he bellowed with an honest smile on his face. It seemed like the informant walked into the man’s home rather than his sushi shop.
Simon then switched to Russian, confusion etched on his face when he glanced to the entrance, then immediately back to the smiling informant. "What are you doing here?” he asked, puzzled but not unkindly.
Izaya jumped onto a random seat, sighed and then started playing with the fur on his long black parka.
"I'm here to eat." He stated before a small smirk curled on his pale lips.
Simon was suspicious for the barest of moments, but then that usual jovial smile was back on his face. "Okay then!" he said in Japanese. "Be right back!"
Izaya did something absolutely random and spontaneous that night. He did something normal, something rather boring, but he also spoke with Simon about lots of things, mainly about humans, little snippets of their pasts, and well, humanity as a whole.
As the informant walked out the door, bell jingling pleasantly at his back, Izaya felt something peculiar.
He didn't feel lonely for the first time in a while.

"That fucking flea!" Heiwajima Shizuo snarled into his food as he snapped yet another pair of chopsticks in half. "Always ruining my day."
Tanaka Tom sighed before patting the blonde on the back.
"Forget about Orihara for a bit, Shizuo. You shouldn't let him disturb you when you're eating of all things." The dread-locked man held up a piece of sushi and inspected it in the dim lighting.
"After all, meals are meant to be enjoyed, right?”
Shizuo stopped at that, then looked down and away before sighing heavily. "You're right." he stated, and then he took up a new pair of chopsticks and began eating normally.
A concentrated look passed on the blonde's face before settling back down into a small smile.
"Thanks, Tom."
"Don't mention it."

"Mikaddooo~"
"M-Masaomi!"
Anri chuckled delicately behind her hand as she watched her two friends fooling around in the booth. This moment...("That's mine, Masaomi!" "Nope! I got it first!!") is one that she wants to keep forever in her heart. And so, she laughs and smiles because happiness and love is what she's feeling right now.
Mikado panted as he slumped against the wall. He then glared at the blonde chewing on his last piece of sushi - his very own favorite piece. Masaomi was literally moaning as he chewed, and Mikado thought the blonde sounded a lot like a cow on hardcore laxatives.
"Cut that out, Masaomi. You're disturbing the guests." Mikado deadpanned to his best friend, arms crossed over his chest and eyes still set in a small glare.
Masaomi raised his eyebrows at that before swallowing thickly. He then shot a look at Anri whose eyes widened at his intense stare.
"I know what else can disturb the guests." he said mysteriously, sensually, while wagging his eyebrows. He flicked his gaze to Mikado, who averted his eyes and instead opted to fiddle around with his chopsticks.
"Masaomi."
"Yes? Mikado-chan?~"
"You're an idiot."
.
Yes. Anri, loved these two boys, and she knew deep down in her heart, that she'd do whatever it took to protect them.
They were like family.

"Celty!~" an excited Shinra chimed as the headless rider opened the door to the apartment. "How I've missed you so! Your beauty is as radiant as the golden sun of morning. In fact, it is so inspiring, that nothing is comparable except for the beauty of marriage! Speaking of marriage, I read my daily horoscope and love will play a huge part in my life today! So what do you say, Celty? Should we go looking for your wedding dress to--mmff"
Celty shook her head at the doctor before releasing the shadows she used as temporary duct tape.
She pulled out her PDA.
[You must be hungry. I got some Russian Sushi from Simon-san on the way home.]
She scratched her helmet before returning the gadget and typing again.
[I'm sorry I can't cook very well...I'm sure the sushi is good.]
Celty procured a couple of white take-out packages from a black bag made out of her shadows.
Shinra had an unreadable look on his face, but then he brightened up and pulled Celty in a tight and warm hug.
"It's okay, Celty. I love you the way you are."
Celty would have blushed if she could, but in response, she punched Shinra in the gut before taking a seat on the living room couch. Her arms were crossed in front of her chest.
As he ate, Shinra went on and on about the most random of things, and Celty just listened to his exuberant voice and mindless chatter. She nodded every once in a while, and felt the sushi with her shadows when Shinra offered her some. He knew she couldn't eat but he did so anyways, making her feel...human, warmed the heart she didn't possess.
Moments like these made her remember, cemented the fact in her brain that yes...Celty loved Kishitani Shinra, this boy she watched grow into a man.
This intelligent, bright young man.

"I swear Shizuo-san and Izaya-san are together! I mean, look at the evidence! It's literally lying right in front of you!" Erika practically yelled in Walker's face. Walker, in response to the fujoshi's claim, merely scratched the back of his head before grabbing some sushi and idly munching on it.
"I don't know, Erika. It seems like they really hate each other."
"Exactly! They're just hiding their mutual love and passion by pretending to hate each other! Can't you see the devotion in their eyes when they meet on the streets? Can't you see the sexual tension in the air when they're within twenty feet of each other?" Erika squealed. Her eyes looked like dancing stars, her smile was crazed. Walker laughed awkwardly and swallowed the sushi in his mouth.
Togusa burped before chugging down some lukewarm green tea. "I can't really see their eyes. Shizuo is either glaring so hard his eyes are slits, or he's wearing his sunglasses. Orihara, on the other hand, always looks the same to me, so I don't know what you see, Karisawa."
Erika pouted. "How about you, Dotachin?"
Kadota massaged his temples before asking Simon for some cold water. He then sat heavily in his seat and said clearly.
"I don't really care about Shizuo and Izaya's love-life," raising an eyebrow at Erika's happy expression, he continued, "...or lack-there-of."
He paused, then grabbed another sushi piece.
"Let's just eat. Please."

End.
