Nat Awards 2014
I haven't done this in FOUR YEARS. So I thought I'd give it a go.
1. The Michael Jackson Award (a.k.a. biggest change of the year 2014)
My apartment, maybe. I had to repaint the ceilings because there was a leak and then I took the chance to change the floor and it looks so much lighter and more open and I love
it. It's still a mess because I haven't had time to put things where they belong. I hate tidying up, friends. I do.
2. The Tim Burton Is At It Again Award, for remake of the year (a.k.a oh no you didn't Award)
I don't remember watching any remakes. This is weird.
3. The Tissue Award, for best ansgty item (a.k.a. Nat is still crying, help her)
It's been a couple of year in which I just don't do sad stuff. But things that made me cry include Begin Again (in the good way) and How I Live Now (the book). I knew what would happen in the book but it still got me right in the heart. Also, I watched Skins and Rich's storyline made me cry like a little girl. Woes.
4. The 'Teh Sex' Award (a.k.a the 'guh' award)
Outlander. Hands down. Well, Jamie. But yes. Him. HOT.
5. The Neil Gaiman is a genius Award, to best book of the year.
I read 42 books this year, and I can't pick one favorite. I loved Fangirl, I loved The Ocean at the End of the Lane, I loved Let's Pretend This Never Happened. I read so many different things and I loved them all. My goodreads challenge is here.
6. The Reality Sucks Award (a.k.a. best T.V. Show)
There were many shows I enjoyed this year: Happy Endings, Jane the Virgin, Outlander, Falling Skies, the first season of Utopia (the British one).
7. The OMGWTF Award, to surprise of the year.
- The Star Wars trailer.
- Finding out Outlander is coming back in freaking april. NO.
- Blog readers who left me a swap present at home when the person who was supposed to do it, didn't. <3
8. The Chris Columbus Award, to biggest discovery of the year
This year I re-discover (take that, Columbus), Tumblr. I hadn't been on it since 2011 and I didn't miss it. But then something happened and now I check the page twice or more a day. It's still 80% Harry Potter related and I don't regret it because everything is so pretty and I miss the fandom so, so much. Plus, I get to see pretty pictures of things I love, so. Win-win.
9.The Octomom Award, a.k.a. I want to be just like you
I've liked Hayley Atwell for YEARS but that woman is so damn cool, I think I have a huge crush on her and I cannot wait for Agent Carter to begin. It's going to be SO DAMN COOL. AAAHHH. I'm so excited.
10. The "Blanket Friends" Award, to best buddy of the year
Everybody!! People know who they are, because I've told them. I've thanked them up front for being there for me, for supporting me and so much more.
A special mention to Gabs because this is the year we met! Woohoo!! Finally. :D
