Here I was thinking that I KNOW THIS IS GOING TO BE HEARTBREAKING, SO I'M MORE PREPARED FOR IT.... RIGHT? wrong. ): basically I started tearing up three sections in and sobbed the rest of the way through this. The line about Arthur rolling his dice 17 times on the floor is one of my favourites - it's such a small thing, but it's really like a punch to the gut when you realize what he's doing.
“I never said it back. I never got a chance to. I kept meaning to but it didn’t seem necessary and now I can’t say it, I can’t tell you, and it’s killing me.”
“Arthur, if there’s one thing you should know about me, after everything, is that you never needed to say it back.”
aljkadjf ;_________; I'M SORRY THIS COMMENT IS SUCH AN INCOHERENT MESS, but basically I loved this and am bawling all over it. Few people can do angst like you, m'dear. ♥
