This past weekend, mes parents and my sister Katie came down for the weekend as part of Katie's Grand Ol' College Tour, in which she's hitting Brown, Yale, Princeton, University of Rochester, Middlebury, and Williams. Recovering one, but my mother and sister are die-hards. I can appreciate a good game of baseball, however. It looks like that would have been a great game to be there for.

Your mother and sister are push-over, fair weather fans. You don't give up tickets to a game in your home stadium because you THINK it might rain. You just don't. Their devotion will waver the longer they go without a World Series ring until one day they've completely lost their fanship.

It's sad actually.
