I still disagree with many of Obama's policies, but that said, I'm very glad that the election went the way it did. I even voted for him, instead of going third-party (though largely because all the third-party candidates this year were tools). If Sarah Palin wound up anywhere near the White House, I was going to seal myself in the nearest bomb

Ha ha! Too true. Being pessimistic for four more years would just be too exhausting, methinks. The last eight were bad enough.

I haven't seen Daddy since the election ended. Saw Mama briefly late last night, and she didn't seem pissed off or anything like that. I had gotten up to check the results, and the way she put it was that the final electoral count hadn't come in yet, but "Senator Obama won handily."
