Do you think the drastic cuts are likely to hold up when it's finalized?

I'm astounded that it means eliminating the Outstanding Scholars Recruitment Program... the scholarships that cause people to turn down better private schools for TCNJ. Just eliminating that program is suicide for student retention. New Jersey already has the worst out-migration rate in the country. Why pay 20 grand to come to a state school (albeit a good school) when you can get a full-ride or nearly full-ride to a better or just-as-good private school?

And this is gonna sound like an idiotic question... but what can we do? Writing something for the Signal doesn't seem like it could do anything.

And next time state elections occur, vote.
