What an excellent chapter. In the beginning, every time Peter mentioned what Neal would or wouldn't do, my heart flinched. Obviously, constantly being compared to "big Neal" was a source of pain for young Neal. Thank goodness for El's insight. I loved how Peter gradually realized that he was unknowingly using young Neal to hold on to "Neal". But what I really loved was the way you put a spin on it. You didn't have young Neal longing for or wanting to be like his long lost father, you had him pining for the father he actually had. That was so tender and heart wrenching. A very emotionally satisfying chapter. Great job! Looking forward to more.
