well, twee pig loves her steroids. she seems happier and more energetic than she has in a long time. which is great except i'm pretty sure the vet said that meant she had something inoperable. (again, confused as to how this works exactly.)

Twee pig is now at the vet, awaiting a conference with the normal small mammal vet who is on vacation, most likely followed by some bloodwork. Nori pig is back home. I am trying not to think about how scared Twee must be in a strange cage in a strange place; she hasn't been away from Nori in five years, since she was small enough to be round. twee pig suddenly has a bald spot on her head. off to the vet we go tomorrow morning. mites are the most likely explanation, but it seems a little odd to me that one pig would be miteful and the other not, and she's not scratching very much. i have of course been reading the intarwebs and convinced myself she has ovarian cysts because of her nori- ( Read more... ) -
