Actually, I've been watching stuff on YouTube about Rogue One off and on all night, but the last thing I watched was about The Force Awakens, and it's awfully good.

Yeah, NaBloPoMo is long gone but I still have the icon. (National Blog Posting Month, see, which was in November to go with NaNoWriMo.)

I'm really curious to see how you liked it. The people I've talked to are sort of split between "love it" and "don't love it quite so much because [SPOILER}" - I'm not actually saying what the spoiler is in case somebody else reads this far later, but you will presumably know by the time you (maybe) see this later.

Oh, and we have changed our minds about going again next week and are now going on Saturday instead. (I thought of pressing for that and decided I could stand to wait - it was Rob who decided not to.)

First, I have to say that I'm not as well-versed in the Star Wars universe as some people. For that reason, I particularly enjoyed this movie because it stands alone so convincingly. You don't have to know anything about anything to enjoy a cracking good adventure story. I think it's a beautiful movie! Some of the CGI war scenes, with huge fighters and stations plowing into one another and slowly breaking apart, were absolutely breathtaking. You get such a feel for how massive everything is ( ... )
