So I'm thinking of making a fandom LJ, to catch all you fine folks who write the fic that gets us by but aren't really the journallers. I find myself wanting to friend fandom types often, but I'm reluctant to keep my LJ as personal as I want to when I'm friending a bit more at random. And so, if you get a request from melligatrix, that would be Fandom!me

Your fandom LJ sounds cool. : ) I completely get what you mean about keeping LJ personal - I am a big one for filters and it sometimes bugs me I have to use them often. : (

Yeah, the filters make me nervous, too!

It makes me a little sad that I have to filter my life - back ages ago I had lots of random people friend me for my fic, and now they can still read my FO entries. Idk, I don't want to do a friends cut but I hate the hush hush of filters.

I feel the same. It's not like I think people are going to do nefarious things with any of my personal info, but the idea of it just being out there is a bit odd. It's probably childish but I also feel like it's an unfair trade when fic-only LJs friend proper journals :D
