I've never spent so much time with a cat before, and I've paid little attention to the ravings of cat loving lunatics I've known throughout my life so I don't know a whole lot about what is and is not normal cat behavior. Frank the Cat
I love Frank.
Whenever he runs up the stairs, or is taken by surprise by me reaching out to pet him, he makes a funny noise that sounds a lot like Marge Simpson's hrrrmph noise.
He is sitting on his cat tree next to my desk, watching me type. We're chillin'.

My Boring Days
As the subject line says, my days are boring. Today was a little different, I spent time in the morning trying to make my wireless internet work again, and then I got myself together and went to a doctors appointment. The weather was nice, but not too nice. I enjoy driving, I miss it, but what I miss the most is eating and drinking out in public ( Read more... ) -
Bedtime
I really need to go to bed earlier. Lately it's been 12 or 1, with wake up around 9. But lately my cat (hard 'c' hard 't') has been waking me up around 6:30 or 7 by coming in, meowing loudly and playing with every loose object he can find in my bedroom.
Why does he do this? And then he goes away, like his job is done. Ugh! -
Was I Adopted?
My mom came over today and:
- rearranged my big, heavy living room furniture so I could more comfortably watch tv
- mowed my lawn
- watered my plants
- did my laundry
- went to Target, PetSmart and PW
- put away all my groceries, washed my fruit
- cleaned out my fridge and cupboards
- did my dishes, loaded them, ran the dishwasher, unloaded them

Back Update - Two Weeks and Four Days
I'm back home now, in my little townhouse twenty minutes away from where I was recuperating at my parents' restful Almaden retreat, and it's a gorgeous day here in San Jose. New Bike New Bike!
My surgery happened so fast last week. One day it was my birthday, I was selling a bike and buying a bike that week, I had just had a triumphant experience at the Spencer School in Vegas, then the next day I had a neurosurgeon operating on my spinal cord and I'd be flat on my back for two weeks. The Routine
My routine is becoming very routine. I sleep a long night, around ten hours or so, and then I wake up. I get up, brush my teeth, wash my face, and go downstairs to get in the recliner with a pillow under my knees.
