Kids say weird things: Sept-November 2013

Over the course of my day, I tend to get a lot of hilarious kid quotes. Never mind the speech sound errors -- which sometimes makes things hilarious enough as it is -- but they say the most nonsensical and weird things ever. Kids say weird things. And I didn't even write them all down.

For the Sandy story, wow! I'm glad you had the foresight to make a functional picture book. That's so cool! That's like my job! I'm glad you two worked together to help her communicate! ^_^

Trust me, my mind was blown. You're very welcome! The kids are a joy and they make me laugh and smile so much!

That kid cracks me up so much! Between eating bananas when I'm young, schnitzels, and monkey butts, she just keeps rolling out with these gems. XD

I DO laugh, don't get me wrong! I laugh sometimes though, because I'm still working on a lesson and we have to focus.

I laugh more at the gestures and facial expressions. Today, a kiddo was holding a dry erase marker and like, jerking it off while she was thinking. She didn't know what she was doing but I was stifling laughter. And another kid with autism, he tries so so hard to make eye contact while asking questions (like we work on) but he over-does it...he opens his eyes so wide like a little blond owl and it makes me grin. I can't help it!

It must be an amazing thing to have such days to look forward to when leaving home in the morning. :-)
