I'm actually sitting with Hope, my cousin's baby daughter. What does that make us? Second cousins? First cousins once removed? I don't usually say this because it might hurt people's feelings but aside from my nieces and nephews, Hope is the cutest baby I've ever seen. I wanted to say hi and that I wish I could have seen you and the rest of your fam at Coke's. I am glad you are having some good Nebraska moments. We send our love and I wish you could see Claire! She doesn't have as many cute rolls as Hope, but she is holding her own in the baby fat department. :)

Mis, this is awesome. "That vast feeling that there is enough even though there is nothing gets crowded out in Seattle's empty plenty." That's beautiful, and I totally know what you mean. Last night I just wanted to get out and do something, just ride for a bit. So I drove into town with the windows down and the new Trisha Yearwood CD playing. I drove past the house that my cousin and her husband and son are hoping to buy, just to check it out. It needs some TLC, but looks like a really nice house and definitely has potential to be a good home. I drove through downtown and went to Sonic to get a java chiller. And as the warm, summer evening breeze blew my hair around and sweet Trisha was singing her little heart out, I felt so full, and yet empty at the same time.
So I've gotta go now cause I feel an urge to blog, but just wanted to say this is a beautiful post. Hope you and Lincoln work out.

Hey Melissa, love your comments about Hope! I'm glad you got to meet her at this fun age. You were so good with her and I appreciated you watching her so I could get stuff done for Mom. It was great seeing you again. Love and miss you lots!
