Started painting the Batgirl symbol on my compression shirt last Wednesday night. As I was about 30% done with it, I was thinking I should have stenciled it. At least the outline. You painted your BR paisley?!?!?!? I should have looked closer at it! Yes.

Like your '30s get-up. That should work up quite nice, methinks, or maybe even in a crepe-back satin. Is it cut on the bias?

I think the belt bling would be perfect. Yes.

No, I ruined some $60/yd. brocade thinking I could overdye and paint it like I wanted it since it wasn't quite close enough to begin with for my tastes. I quickly tabled that attempt for a couple of years actually. Then, I found some $17/yd silk metallic brocade on Bindu's site and that's what's on the dress now and I think it's perfect! I'll be getting more at some point for an eventual redo of that dress or at least the undergown (the undergown is horrendous, my first major project, all silk, not smart).

Ah, the expensive lessons we learn.
Yes. ;)

I'm excited about the 30s gown! Not sure if it's cut on the bias, but those skirt panels sure look like they are (might just be how the curved seams work though). I got the pattern today. Will resist opening it until I'm done with Batgirl.

There really are so many nice vintage dress clips on ebay, some for VERY cheap! Love the deco looking ones and that's probably what I'll go for. Will have fun making some jewelry for it too.
Yes!
