Tales of Training Part I
So 3 weeks have passed since Dawn and I signed up for training. The worst part of the whole thing, is we have been nothing but intimidated and honestly have only been in the ring a handful of times because we get so intimidated…Well tonight…tonight was more than anyone expected…
First let me introduce you to the people we’re dealing with…First there’s a guy will name him K******, this guy has been trying to be our friend since the first night we met him. He was the first the person who actually talked to us, and encouraged us, and is always in the ring or near the ring with us when we are. Now I aint gonna lie, he’s a cutie-pie, and Dawn swears up and down he looks like “Tommy” from Power Rangers. Nick is up next, Nick is one of the trainers in the school, and has been wrestling for a while. Nick has been our trainer from day one, and is a good guy, and works well with us. He’s got a pretty laid back attitude and is always encouraging. That brings us to Kent, Kent is the owner of the school, and a nice guy and all…Kent has been pushing us since day one to get in the ring with the boys. I don’t know why but he just can NOT wait to get us trained and in the ring.
Ok so we arrive tonight on “Women’s night” and once we get in there, we notice the guys working with the other girl “Carly”. They were working with her on headlocks, and escapes, so Dawn and I didn’t want to interrupt that cause they were working so hard, so we opted out and sat out…
Then Kent arrives and basically is just encouraging us non stop to get into the ring. Dawn and I are arguing about slowing down the class, being embarrassed and all this stuff. To which Kent told me I had an “attitude” that would be great in the ring. So by this time its about 8:30 which means women’s night is over, and it is advanced class, so the advanced class starts to arrive, and Kent turns to us and says “No, you guys are getting in the ring tonight, you’re gonna share the ring with the advanced guys”…Dawn and I were totally against it, so Kent basically went around and told every single person there for advanced that we were gonna get in the ring during the down time and to push us up there…
So at one point, Dawn and I are sitting in our chairs and Kent is sitting next to me trying to get me to get in the ring, when K***** comes over after grabbing his phone and Kent starts talking to him. K***** turns to me and says “Come on, Get your ass in the ring”…I tried to explain to him, to which he just kept saying “Get your ass in the ring!”, I laughed out loud and said “You can say that all you want, but I’m the most stubborn person in the world” and K***** basically starts to argue with me saying he was more stubborn, which Kent just thought this battle of wits between K*****and I was hilarious. All the other wrestlers are just watching, cracking up, Dawn’s just keeping quiet during all of this.
So K****** sighs and goes “You know what, you deserve this” and starts to undo the string holding up his exercise pants. He drops his pants right in front of us, and starts to maneuver his gray briefs into a thong, I knew what he was going to do. By this time, the whole place is just dying, Kent can barely talk cause he is laughing so hard, I’m busting up and I’m telling K***** he’s not gonna do it, and Dawn is practically in shock. So K***** comes over towards me and basically tries to give me a stink-face ( for all of you that don’t watch wrestling, this is a move that basically involves person A shoving their bare butt into person B’s face as close as possible…If you’d like a visual go to youtube and search for Batista stink-face, and watch the big man do it himself). I put my foot up to block him, but he grabbed my foot and moved closer to me, his ass coming closer by the minute. At this point, I’m laughing, everyone in the room is dying, Kent can barely breathe, Dawn is just busting a gut, so I held him away with my hands, keeping him and his ass at a safe distance from me, as he tried to maneuver it closer to me. At this point, I scream to Dawn “Protect Your Face! Protect Your Face!”, K***** turns to Dawn and starts to move over to her, but Dawn gets her hands up in time to protect her self. So K****** pulls up his pants, and Dawn still has her face covered so K***** goes “Well how about this” and proceeds to strip off his shirt, leaving him in a tank top and starts a strip tease.
By this time there is a whole other roar of laughter flying through the room, Dawn still has her face covered, as she is just cracking up, I’m busting up laughing, Kent can barely sit in his chair cause he’s laughing so hard, and everyone else is just busting up. K***** walks over to Dawn and shakes his toosh right in Dawn’s face, I’m cracking up, Dawn’ is just dying as she has her eyes covered. K***** moves over to me, I’m just laughing as he straddles my leg and starts like humping leg, everyone is just dying. I’m trying to push him off me, as he climbs up on my lap and basically starts giving me this lap dance. Kent is just dying, as everyone is laughing hysterically. I was laughing so hard as he finally got off of my lap, and I just rolled my eyes as K**** goes “You gonna get in the ring now…”
The laughter finally subsides, and the guys were just not letting up, they were constantly pushing us to get in the ring. Finally, they kind of backed off, but that’s when I turned to Dawn and I noticed just how upset she was. I could see the tears on her eyes so I told her to calm down, and I kept telling her “Hey, if it doesn’t happen tonight, it’s no big deal”…Finally Dawn wanted some fresh air so she stepped outside, meanwhile I somehow decided I was gonna get in the ring. So I strapped up my boots, and walked to the doorway to make sure Dawn was ok, I looked back in the ring and K***** was in the ring and he kept waving me into the ring, I nodded my head Yes, as he started jumping up and down all excited. I stuck my head out and was trying to calm Dawn down…They were really pushing us, and the thing is we don’t do well backed into a corner…It was a lot of pressure on both of us, and Dawn just couldn’t take it anymore. I kept reminding her of a quote of Shane Helms we read “Don’t let them see you down, put on a fake ass smile, you can’t let them see you down”, I didn’t want these guys to see her upset, cause I knew they would just push her more…I kept telling her “What would the Hardy Boyz do if these guys teamed up on them like that? Well they would of probably laughed over the whole stink face thing, but they would get in that ring and beat their asses”…it got Dawn laughing, so I swallowed my nerves and told her “I’m gonna go get in the ring, I’d like you to at least come and watch me?” she nodded yes, as I slowly walked back in and made my way to the ring. I climbed up on the apron, and soon enough Kent had me in the ring to teach me how to run the ropes. Soon enough I could see Dawn peeking around into the classroom, then she slowly made her way to the apron, then soon enough she was standing on the apron watching me. After Kent taught me the basics, he invited Dawn into the ring, and I could tell she was a little nervous, so I made sure I stayed in the ring with her, and soon enough he had us both running the ropes…I was having some problems with it, but one of the independent guys who has been wrestling for 7 years, was giving me some tips and helping me out, because I have really long legs, and he’s 6’5 so he was trying to help me.
Kent told us to come back tomorrow…5/27….We know we are gonna get pushed to get in the ring tomorrow…
I’m gonna be honest though….Kent was so happy that we ended up getting in the ring, he was so proud of us for doing it, and even though they were assholes about it, pushing us hard…I know for a fact we WOULD of NOT gotten into the ring without being pushed like that. So we’ll probably go tomorrow…we’ll suck…Kent and the others will push us to get in the ring, but maybe we can finally pass this hump….maybe we can live up to our potential…maybe
