Maeve was not looking forward to this. It would be now, after all the drama, that Lily left something she definitely, absolutely, needed at Roger's place, and that something would have to be the camera that Lavender bought her. Great ( Read more... )

There was more to do than Lavender every realized there would be - she had to file to change her last name, pack up all of her things (again), and make a list of who they had to tell in what order. "Lav..." She replied with a small laugh, more out of disbelief than anything else. "Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. I just came by to get Lily's camera. Maeve kept it pleasant, fiddling with the strap of her bag without really thinking about it how she was showing her discomfort.

Of course it was Maeve.

"Roger's not here. I was just unpacking."

"Thanks." Her voice soft, simple, as she stepped past and headed for the living room. "That's fine, probably safer right now anyway." Maeve mumbled.

Picking up the camera, she couldn't help but notice the boxes. Moving in, tea parties with Lily, marriage. Perfect little family Lavender had already created. She was family now, wasn't she? Maeve sighed, feeling she should at least say something. "I'm sorry, about the other day. I should have congratulated you properly, and I shouldn't have confused Lily and left you guys to deal with it. That wasn't fair."
