Why do people need the year to start over to change things?

Sometimes people need that extra push to the edge to make them move on. And sometimes that extra push is changing calenders, you know?

Huh? You know it's like...Ummmm...You reeeeally want to forget about this cheesecake you have in your fridge, right? It's just soooo tempting but if you eat it, you're gonna get fat. So you wait and wait and suddenly it goes bad, so you can just throw it away and forget about it!
