Candy and The Juliana Theory

I don't want to write my paper. I want to eat candy and listen to the song "Into the Dark" by The Juliana Theory over and over... oh wait-- I am doing that. Do I have to write my paper? Can't I just quit being an English major altogether? I'm not that good at writing. My parents would understand. Mmm, a green gumball. Pretty delish considering lime

Darling, as long as I've known you, you've written. Long before I knew you, you wrote. And long after you and I part ways, you will write. Be it "write about an event in nature and its significance" (who wants to read 12 pages about an event lasting 26 seconds? HONESTLY.) or "please, create some B.S. about why math relates to your faith walk" (well, your class makes me pray to God for deliverance..) or your beautifully crafted poetry which I would give my right arm to be able to replicate, you, like me, will never be able to fully understand, express, or enjoy life without writing about it. Don't let "the man" (*cough*Satterlee*cough*) get you down! Boring writing happens; it's one more step on the road to writing free-lance. Keep at it, babe, it's got to be better than dropping out and working at McDonald's. ;)
