John nicely put this to Sherlock. He's fighting Sherlock's battle and leaving little to no time for his own emotional work. IF they hash out that no they(Sherlock) don't want a child then there's another upheaval if Sherlock's body catches up and does conceive. Sherlock's background and raising a child that might be like Mycroft and Sherlock, another terribly intelligent Omega,that would be another horrific can of worms.

Their father was a pig. I really don't think there's anything else that can be said about him. Sadly, this is what I see as the semi-realistic reaction to the childhood I've given them, so... struggles it is. :(
