I have been restricted

 Today my access to Livejournal was restricted on my work computer due to their new internet access policy as a social media site and therefore I will not be able to post on there directly but only by crossposting through Dreamwidth which they have yet to restrict.

I can not access my photography files in dropbox or flickr as that is file storage

Well, that's a bummer! My work firewalls are such that I can't assess tumblr (which is only a problem if something is linked to it) but I'd say 50% of the time, Facebook and LJ won't load/work properly. It's frustrating, but what can you do? :-(

We were told we could use the internet in our own time gor whstever we want however there are do many sites blockefd its pointless and some restrictions are restricting work as some customers are using certsin media sites themselves

*nods* Yep, the BF has had a bunch of policy changes at work, and they are being made by people who don't actually understand how the work is done, so they keep making things worse instead of better. :-(

My office has been like that for years... even personal email is blocked along with all the social media sites. Not that I'd want to use my PC for anything personal anyway as my place has key logging! It's why I bought a smartphone 4 years ago!
