I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees the whole facebook crisis this way.

The only problem I ever had with the new facebook was that stalking used to be something of an art form; something to excel at. I can google a person better than most people would ever dream. Now, stalking is merely a pedestrian pastime of the masses.

Thank you for posting that article. I feel exactly the same way!! People were SO UPSET about the "loss of privacy", but hello?! Don't post stuff on facebook at all or, if you can't help yourself, block it (because they did build in that option) so that other people can't see it. I really, really don't understand what everyone was so upset about! I think they all sound like complete hypocrites.

I just wish people spent as much time worrying about other issues as they did ranting about facebook.

i wrote a comment on the facebook help page saying almost exactly what was said in the article. i wasn't annoyed about the personal privacy issues.... i was annoyed that now, even if i shut off my own news feed and don't ever look at the homepage that shows everyone's latest activities, it still shows you exactly what each person's updates are in bright yellow. i don't want to see that! i enjoy taking the time to search through people's pages in order to find exactly what they changed. i also wrote in my comment that i really dislike the new page design - it looks like a legal pad or something, instead of the cute, fun design from before. i don't want to log in to facebook and have it be quite *that* efficient. please, facebook - stalking is only fun when the results aren't handed to me on a platter every time i sign in ( ... )
