It's not the idea of the suit that I'm questioning -- swimming is always good and it's damn near impossible in a burqa. I'm just confused how something that form-fitting (compared to, say, a burqa) is supposed to be modest. I mean, yes, it covers 90% of the wearer's skin -- but it shows a lot more curves than a burqa.
I wonder how many women have bought them, only to have their fathers/husbands/brothers/etc. look at the thigs and say, "Nuh-uh, you're not wearing that. Too form-fitting. Everyone can see tits and ass." I feel like a better indicator would be how many of the women buying them actually make it to the beach/pool in their burkinis.
