Boo senior year.  It seems that everyone here has found me to be an excellent student and worthy of some praise up until this year, when I actually need people to, you know, write recommendations, act as references, HELP ME GET A FUTURE!  I don't understand how, after having taken 17 classes in one department in 4 years, I can't manage to get more

*hugs* I can understand the frustration. For me, graduate school is not happening right away until I get some money and decide on which program I really want to do. In terms of jobs, I wouldn't give up hope. Unfortunately, the economy sucks and people don't want to hire anybody, especially recent college grads. BUT someone will hire you and you will be able to make some money.

Also, just threaten to not leave the professors' doorsteps until they write you a recommendation.
