more house work.
it's going to snow tonight/tomorrow/friday.
wonderful news, i'll use it as an excuse to stay home and work on the house some more. i changed the garage circuit over to a GFCI outlet this morning. since it is the first outlet on what seems to be the entire basement circuit (only 15 amps??) it means everything else down there is protected too. now, if there is ever a water pipe break, i won't die.
i think im going to get paint tonight and start painting tomorrow. the original plan was to wait until spring so i could open the windows and let the house breathe those noxious fumes out, but im really anxious to get the upstairs guest room / office finished. the colors are going to be a not-too-dark green with black trim, but i'll leave the white until i can see what it's going to look like.
i've also decided to paint the kitchen in a sage green instead of silver. silver was a bit too obnoxious and really wouldn't sit too well with the rest of the colors in the house. here's a photoshop impression of what it might look like with the green (the back wall is unchanged from the current yucky yellow).
