As I understood it it was limited to the number of babies a family could have, not just girls, but that the situation also was that boys were considered more valuable by the cultural norms over there and thats why theres more girls up for a doption and stuff. But that's just what I had heard.

No, but I had a friend who was. She's found new housing, but still a little unsettled feeling I think.
