I'm seeing a realtor to look at houses in Athens tomorrow.

I'm somewhere between wanting to dance around and wanting to puke, and leaning a little closer to the latter.

This is scary as hell.

Yeah, starting my PhD in a couple of months at UGa - a two and a half hour commute every day wouldn't work out too well.

Parents' idea - a mortgage would be about the same as rent, and I could rent out an extra room and try to help pay things like grocery bills.

Oh, I found the most perfect little condo - only 3 years old, perfect condition, tons of space, and it's about $20k less than I'd have expected it to be - it blew everything else we saw out of the water. I wants, I wants it so bad.
