Why is it that, after my income has been cut in half in the past year, even though I always claim no exemptions on my W-4s, I STILL owe the federal government $256$166, after every last deduction of charitable donations possible

Oh shit, that reminds me, my license has officially expired, as of my birthday yesterday. I think I'll wait until the kids stop puking before I make a trip to the MVA.
