Hey, you haven't posted in forever! How are you?!

And who is this hat-clad infant?

I know! I am teh lame, with the dearth of postings!

I'm okay -- been trying to find a job for about 40 years now. Just moved to Durham after getting very politely kicked out of the place I was living in Winston. I'm much better about posting when I'm in a soul-sucking job and sitting at a computer all day. :D

And that very handsome hatted gentleman is my nephew who is five months old as of yesterday!

Also, your family cracks me the fuck up.

1 - Just renewed my membership in the 40-Year Job-Search Club, actually. Have somehow landed myself back at a temp job. So glad that college degree set me in the right direction. I am now the poor relation, watching my sisters' career successes with covetous pride, being politely excused out of birthday present obligations. I am now Jane Eyre, minus the brooding, blinded boyfriend. Ah, alliteration and allusion, makes me miss the college days.

2 - I'm glad my family entertains you -- shows that SOMEBODY reads my LJ. It feels like I'm the only one left on LJ these days. Not like I expect to be headlining on some blog marquee or whatever, but this used to be my main source of keeping up with friends. Now I'm just pouring my inane recollections into deaf cyberspace. That sounded incredibly emo. I must need sleep.

OMG I know. It used to be a great way to keep up with friends' Deep Inner Thoughts. But now I use facebook, which is pretty much the same thing. Though I have had a journal entry rattling through my head for the past few days. I just need a job so I can procrastinate by writing journal entries.

I, too, am super thrilled I have this degree that helps me get my foot in the door, and allows me greater articulation when the door is then proffered (that's right I said proffered!) to someone else.

On the plus side, poverty exemption from gifts can be kinda win. And ramen, well, there are so many flavors you can really never get sick of it, amirite??
