mom's doing well. she found out that the heart attack was actually caused by a blood clot. her cholesterol levels are fine. and very little damage was done to her heart. she's still going to quit smoking though

i'm so proud of your mom for deciding to quit smoking after this! andrew's dad had major surgery 2 years ago to replace the arteries in his legs, and was told to quit smoking, because he was high risk for blood clots. he's an ass though and barely even tried to quit.

i think your new use of 'oprah' is seriously adorable, even given the circumstances. i'm really astounded by jeremy's behavior. especially the fact that he couldn't even apologize or even try to see things from your perspective. was he always this dense or is it because he has checked out of the relationship? you deserve so much better. you shouldn't have to bend and break yourself to fit someone else, while they just live their life as they please. relationships have to be compromises and have open communication to work, and it doesn't sound like he was giving that or is willing to, and that sucks. i'm sure there are some positive things you got from this relationship though and that this experience will help you grow even more as a person. <3

i think in a way he was always that dense, really. but it just became more apparent within the past several months. probably once he decided that the relationship would fail.

Reading this makes me feel like a bad friend since a lot of this was pretty clear over a year ago, yet I never even tried to give you a reality check. Hell, even the way he hardly EVER came out to the Maplehood and always put the burden on you to go out to E-ville was something Kristen picked up on and suggested I talk to you about. But I didn't. It's easy to get caught up in giving yourself to someone and not realize how one sided things are, and friends are supposed to be there to point it out. Sorry I didn't, friend!
