Yes, that's what I had on Thursday of last week. I had been at work from 1pm on working in the 4 year old room. It was 4:50 due to leave around 5. And it was me another worker watching 14 4-year olds. They could have said, with the tetanus shot, to stay off your butt until the doctor says it's okay to use it again.

I did seriously consider calling the ER and asking what proper treatment for tetanus shot pain is. Whether I still try to use the leg or if it's best not to aggravate it or what. I don't know.

I tried letting the cut breathe a bit today. And then I stupidly tried to use my hand and bumped around the cut where it's bruised and OW! The whole middle finger is still very tender. I'll at least bring my ice pack with me if I go to work.

Okay, I finally got over here to read the full story because I wouldn't let you tell it Thursday night in my useless attempts to make you go take care of your hand. And as I said many times that night: POOR MEL!

But hey! If enough people post here and tell you to take care of yourself until you're better, will you actually listen? *Wink*

(And *cough*, if you feel like calling into work tomorrow, I'll be home early. *Whistle* Since I doubt you'd be away from the computer, plotting could happen. Hee.)

Uhm, I'm going to avoid saying things that sound wrong because I think I traumatize you enough. And if I don't, then I seriously need to work on that.

And then I called my regular doctor because this tetanus pain is ridiculous and is normal my whole hip joint is crazy tender...blah. So I migh have a doctor's appointment.

And hey I'm taking care of myself. It's not like I'm lifting weights or running marathons. *lol* (As for plotting, hehe, page 49! 2 to go and I can update!)

You traumatize me rarely, mainly only when you let me know that you and your compy are going be separate for long periods.

I didn't know it was that easy to traumatize you. Wow. I'll have to keep that in mind.

And since you're not here...it's Chim's naptime! Booooooo/yaaaaaaay!

(And sure you're taking care of yourself...if being on the computer for HOURS AT A TIME while TYPING ONE-HANDED is taking care of yourself. Sheesh, your wrist(s) are going to end up as bad as mine)

After a trip to the doc today, the tetanus shot spot is normal. Doc thinks I should have gotten in the arm (I Tried!) because it hurts less if you can work the muscle and the upper thigh is of course harder to work out. (And I just know you're going to take that some place that sounds wrong, Patty :P)

Also BBunny, tingly finger, she says it feels like a burn because it's still swollen. (So no nerve damage. Yay!)

ehhhh, WTF? It deleted my post?! I had this whole thing typed up too! Curses!! It was something along the lines of how tetanus shots are eeeevil, and about how you should take care of yourself, and daaaaaang, that's gotta hurt!! Ouch! I hope you're doing alright!! And I'm glad your hand's not broken...Yikes.

owwwww. i got my fingers jammed in the door hinge crack thing when i was like... 4. i remember going to the hospital and getting a lollipop and nothing was broken.

I think I shall return to work tomorrow. My tetanus shot pain is finally subsiding. I can walk and sit.

And aw, I wish I'd gotten a lollipop. Maybe I should have let them think I wasn't 22. :lol:

Whoa. I feel so bad for you, because tetanus shots hurt a lot and also your hand...

I worked in that room again last week Wednesday and he was there and went from one attempt to hurt other kids to the next. I stayed far, far away from all doors. :P

I'd say it's a smart move!! Doors are mean! Hee. Although I would expect him to get some kind of punishment. (I know, I am being cruel, but he deserved it...).
